Prize Winner and Ellen DeGeneres

Stormtrooper with letter BThe winner of the Amazon gift certificate from this post, was….could you open the envelope please Stormtrooper, oh you already have, it’s Brain Tomahawk!  Congratulations! I shall make contact with you to arrange the handover. Thank you to everyone else who joined in with my 100 posts day party, I’m still clearing up the mess – a few of you have some explaining to do! Everything in the ‘lost and found’ box will be donated to charity at the end of next week if you haven’t claimed it by then.

But what of Ellen DeGeneres you ask? Well, some of you will already know because we have mutual followers, but for those who haven’t seen it, blogging buddy, The Hook, has written a heartfelt open letter to Ellen DeGeneres on his blog and is asking people to spread the word, so if you haven’t read it, please take a few minutes to, and send him your good thoughts for a successful outcome! And if you bump into Ellen DeGeneres, point her in that direction too. I have a particular soft spot for Ellen myself as of course she was the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo which is my favourite animated film ever! Come on Ellen, hear his plea!

Hope you have a good weekend, whatcha all up to then?

  1. I will rise above my disappointment and congratulate Mr. Tomahawk on his victory. Well done, sir. It was a clean win with no controversial moves on his part.

My office is about four blocks from the studio where Ms. Degeneres tapes. Perhaps I’ll print out The Hook’s post, fasten it to a grenade-sized rock and heave it through that big window that overlooks Central Park. I’ll let you know how it goes. (Or, perhaps it’ll be in the news.)

    • Well maybe next time, I’m sure I’ll do more giveaways in the future!

Only four blocks! Well yes, great idea – any publicity is good publicity right? I shall keep a watch out for the story on the news.

  8. Hi Vanessa

Great party and and congrats to Mr. Tomahawk 🙂

In regards to “An Open Letter To Ellen DeGeneres” – I’ve sent my request to Ellen also.

He is absolutely right when he says, “But my greatest joy, the one accomplishment I’m most proud of, has nothing to do with fame, fortune or personal milestones. Being a father has challenged me in ways I could never imagined, but it has also made me realize what love is truly all about.

When you love someone with every fiber of your being, the quest for their happiness directs you to places you never knew existed. When you’re a parent you want to see your children realize their dreams, regardless of the cost.”

Hmmm, I wonder if Ellen or you, Vanessa, could help me with my children?

When will we have another great 100th post party?

  10. I used to be *meh* about Ellen, but I do adore her now. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if she DID somehow take notice?

A winner, you say? Someone else, and not me? Are you sure there’s no mistake? I’m crushed. (tee-hee)

  12. Congratulations to Brain Tomahawk! Use this gift wisely, my friend. 🙂

I’ve always preferred celebrities who share the wealth, as it were. Mr. The Hook’s daughter sounds like a talented young lady. Hopefully, her wish will someday come true, as I’d want that to happen for all struggling artists (myself included).

  14. It’s always a drag cleaning up after a party. I am getting over my post festival blues this week after an awesome weekend in the sunny park listening to funk and soul.
